If you are considering one of Cartier’s watches, then you might consider one from their Ballon Bleu collection.  The Ballon Bleu watches went on the market in 2007. They are known for their dazzling diamonds, gold and sapphire. Since the Ballon Bleu introduction, it has been one of Cartier’s most popular collections.

If you are now considering a timepiece from this collection, then you might want to take a chance on the Cartier Ballon Bleu WE902006.

The Cartier Ballon Bleu WE902006 captures the eye as it’s completely covered in diamonds.  Even its clutch wristband is aggressively filled with diamonds. Another major theme of the watch is white gold. 18K white gold helps showcase the diamonds. Together they create a perfect harmony of glossy glory. The watch is also water resistant for 30 meters (100 feet) and its extra-large size makes it an appropriate fit for almost any man. This watch is a good investment  for a man that likes to stand out among his peers.

If you are still not sure about the Ballon Bleu WE902006 watch, but still want a watch from the Ballon Bleu collection, then you might  consider the one Usher is wearing.  He is wearing the Cartier Ballon Bleu W69005Z2. The two watches visually look completely different. The W69005Z2 is completely covered in gold vs the WE902006 one covered in white gold. Both watches are sapphire cased and water resistant. And they are both 42mm diameters. The Ballon Bleu W69005Z2 costs $21,000 not discounted, and the Ballon Bleu WE902006 costs $164,000. Both watches are really nice, but very different. So choosing which to buy depends on if you are a man that loves diamonds, or gold.

There are some really good things about the BB WE902006 and some negatives. Here are a few of the pros and cons with this watch model:

• Visually, It really standouts
• It looks classic and expensive
• The Roman numeral clock is a cool feature

Cons

• All the diamonds can be too much for a man that prefers simplicity
• It could look feminine with all the diamonds and white gold
• The watch may be too expensive looking to wear in public, without attracting attention. Attention that could be bad.

Overall, the Cartier Ballon Bleu WE902006 watch is a gorgeous diamond watch, but if you are a modest man this is not the watch for you. If you are an extravagant man then this is a perfect addition to your collection.

Though the Ballon Bleu WE902006 is a very nice timepiece, it does not seem like a masculine watch. The design looks like it’s geared more towards women than men. A lot of men prefer classic simple looking watches, even those with expensive taste, so this watch seems like it would not be popular among most men. Despite that, it is a very nice watch, and deserving of Cartier’s reputation of providing quality timepieces.
