Cartier Roadster Collection Steel Women's Watch

The Roadster series steel watch by Cartier is a modern and classy timepiece showcasing a traditional Cartier design. The Roadster still employs fundamentals developed by Louis Cartier and was inspired by the world of car racing in the 1950’s and 1960’s.

The roadster has a classic design with a shiny, modern body. It is sleek, timeless and effortless in its elegance. The watch’s dial has a simple, stylish design on the white background with thin, grey lines encircling the hands. It features bold, black roman numerals and no hour markers. Another smaller circle on the inside of the numerals is made of small black and white squares. While the design on the watch dial is understated, these details attest to the time and attention each Roadster steel timepiece entails.

The sword-shaped hour and minute hands are luminescent with a black outline, keeping with the black, white and silver theme. There is a date aperture at the three o’clock mark with a magnifying, cyclops glass above it for enhanced readability. The crystal on the face is sapphire, the strongest and most durable type of crystal used in watches. Sapphire crystal is extremely scratch resistant as it can only be scratched by diamonds. It is even stronger than the other leading types of crystal, mineral and acrylic. Sapphire crystal is three times stronger than mineral crystal and 20 times stronger than acrylic, so your watch’s face is unlikely to scratch or break.

This watch comes with one variation. The strap can be changed, and the watch comes with a black bracelet in addition to the silver steel. The black bracelet gives the watch a more dressed down appearance than the glossy silver, giving this timepiece versatility you can use. The buckle is an adjustable steel deployant.

The watch’s movement is a Swiss Made battery powered quartz. Quartz movements typically need the batteries replaced every 1.5 to 2 years. The Swiss Made logo is visible in small lettering below the six o’clock mark. The Swiss Made trademark logo assured customers that the majority of the watch’s parts were manufactured and assembled in Switzerland, and therefore were held to their strict watchmaking standards.

The Roadster is water resistant to 100 meters or 330 feet. This is a greater water resistance than many other luxury watches which only reach 100 feet of water resistance.
