Cartier’s masterful design is clear in the Roadster Large Steel Men’s Watch W62025V3.  Inspired by car racing in the 1950’s and 60’s, it combines vintage and modern design elements, a feat commonly achieved by Cartier.  The watch is perfect for the man who values quality, function, and amazing design.

The steel case features four small bolts on the corners, creating a subtle intricacy of design. The dial is rhodiumized and etched with a silvered sunray pattern.  The vintage look of the watch is complemented by the Roman numeral hour markers, and a modern touch is added by the luminescent sword-shaped hour and minute hands.  The watch also features a second hand, a valuable function for any watch, and the date window at the 3 o’clock marker is magnified.

The watch bracelet is also steel, with polished steel outer links and brushed steel inner links, again adding intricacy to the design.  Included with the watch is an additional black leather strap, allowing the wearer to change to a more casual look if necessary or desired.  Very few luxury watches provide the option of two completely different materials for their bands.

The crown of this watch protrudes a little farther than is probably necessary, which may be an unattractive design feature.  However, it is easier to manipulate because it is not tucked into a hollow in the case.
