Understated is the best word to describe the Cartier Love WE800631 ladies watch.  You can easily picture this circular design with a black dress and diamond stud earrings. There is something very sophisticated about the black satin band and roman numerals but girlish at the same time.  I am reminded of Cinderella’s ball.  The clock which strikes midnight would look something like this elegant timepiece.

The chic and well-put-together woman will appreciate the simple lines of the Cartier Love WE800631 in 18K rose gold.  It’s bezel is studded with 18 diamonds.  A quartz movement and 3-year warranty will appeal to her practical side.  The traditional tang buckle with a satin strap will be comfortable, and the beautiful sword-shaped blue hands will keep precise time.  Add to these pluses, the standard waterproof guarantee and free lifetime battery replacement, and you have a high-quality watch worth the $11,450 investment.

What are the cons?  This watch delivers on bling, but does not have some of the features of other high-end watches.  Consumers who do some comparison shopping and learn more about luxury watches will find that automatic, manual wind watches are more desired–if you care about having the best.  Also, the Love is a newer design, not time-tested and well-loved like the Tank, Baignoire, or Santos series.  I think some women might prefer the oval or rectangular Cartier watch shapes to this one.  But then again, maybe the Love will become a new classic.  Only time will tell.

But if you think “So what? I like it!” and can see yourself very happy with the refined, understated Love, by all means purchase it, wear it, and love it.  Choosing a watch is very personal, like choosing a scent, and Cartier’s watches are each designed with their own mixture of classic, contemporary, lavish, or simple notes.  The Cartier Love WE800631 is a rose gold beauty that may become another classic.
